| I love living in the south. People are so friendly, i can't get over this! So many people just come up and start talking to me. Like at Starbucks, this lady comes up to me and says," Didn't I see you in the music store a few weeks ago, your daughter was looking for music to audition at Belmont"? I thought wow! yes your right, I guess i do stand out here :) anyway we started talking, she was so sweet, then i was in line at the DMV to pick up my new tennessee tags and this elderly black man came in and got in line behind me well he smiled at Journey and then proceeded to talk my arm off about his vietnam days. he said, as only an old black man could...." There i was a nineteen year old kid in vietnam laying there with my intestines hangning out of my body and the ugliest white boy i ever saw , although i thought he was an angel picked me up and carried my black butt off to safety...did i believe in God, no! how could a God in heaven let all this happen...his story went on until the day he fell on his knees and cried out to God and been sevin' him every day since....I loved listening to him I was dissapointed when they called my number. yesterday i was sitting out under this huge tree in my front yard, It is covered in pink blooms and when the breeze blew it looked like it was snowing pink flakes. Journey was lazily taking her nap under the tree on a blanket and Britt and my sister were with me and we were just sitting there talking and everyone that drove down my street smiled and waved. Even two men on motorcycles honked and waved at us....like i said i LOVE the south. Today was also interesting, as the evening approached it brought with it severe storms. My mother called and said are you watching your Tv. I said no, she said turn it on tornados are heading our way. well i was immediately nervous. Katherine my step sister called and she was headed up to their house they are building, becasue it has a storm shelter. She said load up and follow me. We did...AHHH I was scared! it was lightening and raining. we drove about 4 miles down the road and went to their house being built. Now you have to see this house. It sits High on a hill overlooking miles and miles of beautiful green rolling hills. This house is a vertual mansion. It is three stories, it has a locker room for their boys, it has so many bedrooms and a huge playroom with a balcomy for their boys and a theater, and a family safe in the basement. BUT the house is being built so no electricity which equals to utter darkness on a stormy night in the country. So miss california transplant me has no flash lights so i have to use my cell phone, i felt so lame! so we are sitting in this house and it is dark as pitch and it is raining and lightening and the lights are making funny shadows and I thought this would be a great story for a thriller movie, all of us sitting in this BIG unfinished house in the dark...spooky!!! but her boys were cute and had no fear. They are 4 and 5 and have the cutest southern accents. Their big dog came too and he LOVED kendall! She was laying on the unfinished floor and the big dog came up and tried to snuggle with her and kept licking her and she said i always attrack the nerds and the dogs! She was so funny. so we rode out the storm and then came home. I love life here because i feel like i am realy really living :) |

| Today was my mother and dad's birthday. March 27th. This was the first birthday in years i have spent with them. My girls and my sister Lisa and I drove to my moms this morning and picked her up. We spent the whole day shopping and having fun in Cool Springs. Even though it was my mothers birthday she bought me a hord of clothes. I will be well dressed for awhile thats for sure! Then we came home and met my dad and stepmom at Fiesta Alcapulco. We had a nice dinner and then they came over for cake and coffee and to talk. It was thrilling and very interesting. I love our conversations. I learn so much about God and the Bible whenever they come around. I am hosting passover at my house this year and i am so excited to celebrate passover and the feast of unleaven bread. For a week we will remove all the leaven from our house, this will be a new experience for me but one I can't wait to do.
Tomorrow I get new carpet!! ya hoo! and wednesday i am meeting old friends from my way way past...fun.
